Buying Hair Extensions Wholesale: A Practical Guide for Salons and Resellers

Sep 25, 2026 MG Hair Team Wholesale Tips

Whether you run a salon, sell online or supply a local market, buying hair extensions in bulk is different from buying a single bundle. Here is a practical guide to what to look at before you place a wholesale order.

1. Decide what you need to stock

Start with the products your customers ask for most. MG Hair India offers machine weft hair extensions (sold as 100g bundles, in double weft and double drawn), lace closures, lace frontals and 360 frontals. Most buyers begin with a few best-selling textures and colours and expand from there.

2. Check the quality grade

Ask what the hair is: raw, virgin or remy, single donor or multiple donors, and which grade it carries. Our range includes Indian raw virgin single donor remy hair (13A), as well as European Brown and Brazilian hair. See our guide on raw vs virgin vs remy hair to understand the grades.

3. Plan your lengths, textures and colours

  • Lengths: regular lengths go from 20cm / 8" up to 75cm / 30". Extra-long hair can be made on special order.
  • Textures: straight, body wave, deep wave, water wave, curly, kinky curly and many more are available.
  • Colours: natural brown, 1B natural black and #1 jet black, shades #2 to #18, premium blondes such as 613 and 60, and bright fashion colours from #55 to #82.

4. Ask about customisation

Wholesale buyers can ask for more than the standard range. We make balayage, highlight and ombre colours using any of the colours we have available. We also make customised products, customised colours and customised packing when you place a wholesale order and make a contract.

5. Look at real photos and samples of the product

Before you place a large order, ask to see real photos or videos of the exact product. Compare texture, shine and thickness of the ends. Clear product photos help you avoid surprises and help you describe the hair properly to your own customers.

6. Agree the details in writing

For repeat or custom orders, make sure that quantities, colours, packing, delivery and payment terms are all agreed in writing before production starts.

A simple way to start

  1. Browse our hair extensions and note the products you like.
  2. Make a list of the textures, colours, lengths and quantities you need.
  3. Send us your list through our contact page and tell us if you need any customisation.

We will be happy to help you build the right product mix for your business.
